First Artist proclaimed as 'SAINT'
The first Artist ever inducted in to Pornsanctity by the PornCardinal of Philadelphia.>

The news came as some suprise this morning in Philadelphia as a private meeting of the high ranking officials of the Philadelphia Chapter of what has been described as 'The New Church'. Sean Adamz (prncrdnl) has declared his judgement sound and his descision the best for the chrch. With meetings ajourned after some 4 hours of deliberation apparently their descisions have been made and their latest nominee for pornsanctity is an artist rather than a pornstar ? This shocking delivery was heralded as 'defiant of the old ways' some said today as friends shook hands in the halls of the great structure known only as lazertown! CHRCH officials were stunned, when they found that the new Saint known only as Mordvinoff was not an actual porn star. Some say, "The Pope will veto this action, it unfounded and controversial" a Bishop from one Parrish was quoted as saying.

The newest addition to pornsaints art project will be available for tours in our public gallerys and member section in August says curator and director of affairs Steve Steverson. We have art specific gallerys available for view of all of the different participants in the nw chrch. This is a fantastic arrangement of the Gods of today and also a museum like approach to the Saints of the past.

Musical creativity and suicide.

The different abilities involved in artistic creativity may be mirrored by differences among mental disorders prevalent in each artistic profession, taking poets, painters, and composers as examples. Using suicide rates as a proxy for the prevalence of mental disorders in groups of artists, we investigated the percentage of deaths by suicide in a sample of 4,564 eminent artists who died in the 19th and 20th centuries. Of the sample, 2,259 were primarily involved in activities of a linguistic nature, e.g., poets and writers; 834 were primarily visual artists, such as painters and sculptors; and 1,471 were musicians (composers and instrumentalists). There were 63 suicides in the sample (1.3% of total deaths). Musicians as a group had lower suicide rates than literary and visual artists. Beyond socioeconomic reasons, which might favour interpretations based on effects of health selection, the lower rate of suicides among musicians may reflect some protective effect arising from music.

"Well, maybe he can't be a pornsaint but he could be a saint at least. But this is not our matter. Anyway, his work is really good. I'd love him between our pornbishops.
A pity he died, a loss for our Church. He's for sure a Pornbishop ad honorem."
(The Pornpope, 20/7/2007, from the high council of the Pornsaints)
Nicolas Mordvinoff
N. Mordvinoff was born September 27, 1911 in St. Petersburg, Russia. His family left Russia in 1918 and later moved to France. Nicolas graduated from the University of Paris and as a student he sold cartoons and illustrations to French publications. In 1934, he went to the South Pacific and spent many years there "painting and developing his own style." While in Tahiti, he met the author William Stone who persuaded him to illustrate his book Thunder Island (1942). Nicolas illustrated other books by Stone including The Ship of Flame: A Saga of the South Seas in 1945. Nicolas came to the United States in 1946 and in 1950 he began a long and prolific partnership with the author William Lipkind "Will." In 1950, they published The Two Reds with illustrations by Nicolas. The book received a Caldecott Honor citation in 1951 and the following year Nicolas won the Caldecott Award for Finders Keepers (1951) another work with Will. Nicolas also illustrated books for other well-known children's book authors including Marie Halun Bloch, Natalie Savage Carlson, and William O. Steele. In 1964, Will and Nicolas published their last collaboration The Boy and the Forest. In the latter part of the 1960s, Nicolas returned to painting and his work was exhibited in various galleries. Nicolas died on May 5, 1973 in Hampton, New Jersey.
