Annie Sprinkle is our first "Pornsaint ad honorem". She has 35+ years of experience in sexually oriented entertainment, education and art. She began her career in 1973, worked as a prostitute and a porn star for twenty years, then toured the USA in burlesque for four years with her own brand of performance called “Strip Speak.” She pioneered a variety of sex film genres and was a mover and shaker in the 80’s sex positive feminist movement. She evolved into a producer/director of her own “post porn” films, became an internationally acclaimed performance artist, and an innovative sex educator. She became the first porn star to earn a Ph.D.. Always eager to help sex workers to be healthy and happy, and to counter societies prejudice, judgementalism, and bad laws, Sprinkle started the International Day to End Violence Against Sex Workers, which is now observed annually in many countries and cities around the worldShe well deserve the pornsaint title, and she will stay right there in the very top of the Pornheavens.

Looking at this 2010 sculpture by Thom Puckey, I thought that "the very essence of post-modernism is pornography of art, and that we must move on quickly climbing these extremes as the pornsaints do". I will think more about it later, cool sculpture anyway.
"Porn for women" is always an interesting debate for us. "Straight Guys for Gay Eyes" it's quite a strange website. If you're tired of watching porn in which the camera only showcases the woman's body, and you're not in the mood to watch gay guys get it on, here there is the alternative. The concept is pretty straightforward: film a man and a woman having sex, but with gratuitous shots of cock and abs. Looking at their website, it looks like the perfect symmetry of a porn website. Our Pornbishop Jan Van Rijn did this wonderful art book. It's a collection of erotic short prose and poems originated in reference to the extensively ornamented, illustrated clerical manuscripts, widely spread in the 14th and 15th century. With exclusive contributions of 13 different authors (one it's me!). As different as their individual backgrounds, as many layered are the facets of their contributions. Each one, individually set and lovingly ornamented, juxtaposes one of Van Riijn's drawings.
